Case studies: Low level behaviours
Bobby Jo makes inappropriate remarks
The aims of this unit are:
- To reduce the number of times Bobby Jo shouts out in class
- To introduce the concept of Wave 3 strategies for increasing behaviour concerns
- To develop a set of routines which will make Bobby Jo more accountable for her classroom behaviours
Bobby Jo is a lively girl, who is constantly watching what everyone else is doing and what is going on in the classroom. She makes loud, personal comments about other children and tells tales on class mates. Bobby Jo doesn’t seem to be aware of what she is doing or how it affects others on her table.
She doesn’t seem bothered when spoken to and continues to talk loudly, shouting out at every opportunity in class discussion. She likes to be noticed in class.
