Case studies: Low level behaviours
The aims of this module are:
- To help you visualise common behaviour problems and how they manifest themselves in the classroom.
- To provide a range of Wave 2 strategies that will meet the behavioural needs of different pupils.
- To help you recognise that individual pupils will respond in different ways.
Some pupils arrive at school disadvantaged and stressed by their home circumstances. Schools vary in terms of the numbers of such pupils they have. As well as having structures in place which provide support staff in the classroom, schools can encourage teachers and others to discuss the most challenging pupils and situations with their colleagues and thereby reduce the adult stresses that behaviour management can generate
